We have some options of trips for you to know the NGOs and the projects that we support. However, we can adapt them or work out new packages according to your needs.

In the heart of the Atlantic Forest - 1 day
Partner NGO: SPVS - Society for Wild Life Research

On this tour the visitors will know two Private Reserves of the Natural Patrimony, belonging to the Atlantic Forest. They will also know the activities and projects of the SPVS – Society for Wild Life Research, the owner of the reservations.

Departing  from Curitiba at seven o’clock a.m., the tourists will head to the RPPN Morro da Mina, inserted in the Protected Environmental Area of Guaraqueçaba, at the coast of Paraná. In the Reserve they will accomplish a trail amid the practically virgin Atlantic Forest and that ends at an immense centennial tree. After the typical regional lunch, they will proceed to the RPPN Rio Cachoeira, where they will go the Guaricica trail, planting trees and participating in discussions on the environment.

The group will return to Curitiba at about  7 p. m., possibly stopping at the Rancho Ornithos, from where life-images of birds of the region of Morretes are transmitted through a web-site (www.ornithos.com.br).



Knowing the Marsh Antwren - An endangered species - 1 day
Partner-NGO: MATER NATURA – Institute of Environmental Studies

Leaving from Curitiba at 7 a..m., the group will proceed towards Garuva, a region belonging to the protected environmental area of Guaratuba. During the travel the group will have a short stop for breakfast, and will proceed to the village of Riozinho, where the biologist responsible for the Project Marsh Antwren (Stymphalornis acutirostris) will wait for them.

Still in the morning period, they will take a boat to the Jundiaquara island, where the monitoring of the birds happens. There they will learn with the biologist about the project. After lunch, the visitors will proceed to the Natural Municipal Park of Lagoa do Parado, a kind of “swampland” at the heart of the Atlantic Forest.

The return to Curitiba is scheduled at 8 p.m..


Knowing the Project of Conservation
of the Red-tailed parrot - An endangered species - 2 days/1 night

1st Day
Leaving Curitiba at 7 a. m. the members will go heading for the RPPN Rio Cachoeira, inserted in the environmental area of Guaraqueçaba, at the coast of Paraná. On the way they will stop at the Rancho Ornithos, from where life-images of birds of the region of Morretes are transmitted through a web-site.

In the Rio Cachoeira Reserve they will go the Guaricica trail, plant trees and discuss about environment. After the typical lunch of the region, they will proceed to the RPPN Itaqui, from where they will take a boat to the island Ilha Rasa, where they will know the conservation project of the Red-tailed-parrot (Amazona brasiliensis), an endemic bird of the region and in danger of extinction. They can also admire the incredible landscape of the Northern coast of Paraná state, with islands covered with Atlantic Forest. At late afternoon it is possible to have the first eye-contact with these fabulous birds and to see them returning to their sleeping places in the island.

2nd Day
At 5:30 a. m. the group members can choose to see the morning flight of the parrots that fly to other islands of the area in search of food. After breakfast, the people responsible of the project and the employees who help to monitor the parrots will go with the group on a walk to watch the natural and artificial nests where the birds breed. The return for Curitiba is scheduled at 6 p. m.
